i was at chinatown food centre eating my meepok w fishballs. realli wasnt enjoying the food cos i kept thinking how humid it was.

den my mom told me to give a dollar coin to the person selling tissues behind me den i was like" but mummy i jus bought 12 packs of tissue" den my mom was like "nvm lah, dun tkae e tissue jus give e money" den i was like ok lor. the whole time we were talking, the person selling e tissue was behind me lah 2 tables away.

n when i turned around. i understood y my mom made me give him one dollar. he was tis man with deformed limbs, very weak limbs with severe muscle contractions of his muscles, his everywhere. he couldnt even lift his head up. all he had was a stick he leaned on to heavily.he cudnt even walk properly and yet there he was, sweating profusely, with a bag of tissues tt he sells to ppl, his sole livelihood.

n when i put the one dollar in his palm. he took effort to put e coin in his pouch. extreme effort. i almost cried. i felt so bad for not wanting to buy tissues frm him b4hand. i felt so bad for not being a kind person usually. i felt so bad for not taking care of my health. at tt moment i jus wanted to tell all e ppl in e food court to buy tissue frm him.

and after he left. i jus couldnt eat. i wanted to cry. my mom's own eyes were filled w tears n mine too. i had a few tears rolling outta my eyes. my dad too. we r not pitying him. we r jus touched. very touched that a disabled person like him was able to support himself when so many MANY of us abled ppl r jus wasting our lives away. u take him vs abled ppl hu use drugs hu murder hu steal...arent u sad to c wads happenign to tis world?

God has a mission for everyone of us- abled or disabled. who is to say who is abled and who is diabled? does it mean that u r better cos u r smarter. does it mean tt u r rich n therefore n can bully ppl? oh my gosh. there r so many selfish ppl in tis world, including me. all day long we jus care bout ourselves ME ME AND ME. have u ever wondered there r ppl out there like e man aforementioned who seriously need help?

we have a REAL situation in our hands. it is sth close to home, close to heart. he is disabled in ur dictionary, u self elevated people, but in my, he is most certainly abled. hes got an abled mind. and tt mind alone is more poweful than his body his shell! tis is an issue we r facing. people who need help r not being helped. ppl who r jus right next to us r being marginalized. oh my wad exactly is happening to tis world? to my homeland? y r the diasbled the outcasts of society?

we label their schools as "special schools". we see them differently. dun give me e shit bout treating them as equals cos even i wear coloured specs when i view them. but think bout it carefully, they r really stronger than us in a lot os aspects, wad they lacked, they made up in other ways. ways tt we cant realise even with our abled bodies.

i urge u people, to be less selfish, to give a little something, anything u can give, ur compassion, us love, ur care, ur money to help those less fortunate of society. we should begin today, u and me to see these so-called "disabled" ppl as "these abled ppl" frm today onwards.

and another prob im having a shitty prob bout is. how environmentally unfrenly our place is towards those who are unable to travel ard freely.we have so many many many stepsn so few lifts n escalated platforms. we need more of those.how can we forget bout those who cant move ard easily??how can?? we need to be more giving. we must give up seats to elderly, pregnant and those who need it. i dun give a shit bout how tired u r. uve got legs stand, u can give help, give. u r onli tired for bout a few secs, those ppl u r giving ur seats to NEED IT. OK? dey cant stand properly, u can. dey have babies who will grow up to be like u n me HUMANS. take care of them. n the needy ones of cos include those who r sick( oh puhleaze u have eyes u can judge) n those who carry loads of stuff. do wadeva u can to help/

and Singapore will be a better place.
