Happy Birthday Singapore!!

This year, I wish that you will become healthier! In every sense of the word.
1. No more terrorists.
2. I hope you can become democratic. You are supposed to be, you know.
3. I hope your kids can become more respected in the international arena.
4. I hope your place will be a free-r one.:D

Despite the fact that Singaporeans might complain every single day of their lives from anything under the sky to anything above the land, we still love our country. That's something I firmly believe in.

My mom told me that the first time she attended NDP was when she was p5. In the 1960s+

At that time, they gave each p5 kid 1 Singapore flag so that they can " mari kita." Which is use in the sense of a verb.

And every kid had a portion of char siew rice. On metal plate. She said that the char siew rice was very delicious and she still can remember the taste.

The daugher was more concerned that they were eating like prisoners, because the rice was served on metal plates. Haha.

My mom said her school sent them to the padang in lorries. I thought this was very cute.

Her ndp experience was sharply contrasted with mine. I had Mac vs her Charsiew rice. I had a mini flag, vs her gigantic flag. I went in a air-con bus.

Ndp. Haha.
