It is 12 plus and I am still online. Looking at xiaxue's blog. I wonder if I am seeking death. A slow peaceful one at that -I AM SUPPOSED TO BE STUDYING!!!!

In anycase, I believe that ALL Ministers of state, MP, our PM and President and all those who could make a difference to our country should read works of William Blake-particularly Songs of Innocence and Experience.

Some recommended works by him that reflect the actual situation in Singapore would be Holy thursday ( both states); The School boy ( to reflect the education system of Singapore); The Black Boy to deflect possible and existent racial problems in Singapore; London should be read by all the rich and "charitable" ones.

Some poems that should not be read ( mainly because they are boring, if you ask me, is the little girl lost/found whatever) wakau bore me to death.

Back from that digression, like I said, who ever said that Literature is useless?? It is so not useless. If I am on the " Mold the Future Leaders of the Country " committee, all the potential leaders have to take Literature all the way from sec 1. Major in William Blake. Only like that then they will even feel guilty and not "apathetic" which is what most Singaporeans are infamous for ( rubbish can).

I would also recommend a healthy dosage of Shakespeare's drama. I've only read 12th night so I haven't got a good grasp of his dramas. But anyhow, just read because he makes a lot of sense about everything.

If they are rebellious or dare rebel against the strict regime of Lit Diet, I will use elements of Gothic to haunt them. Firstly, they will be "prison'd " in a Gothic sphere inside the red room( from jane eyre) with the chopped up bodies of Victor's lab ( Frankenstein) and friends from the "charnel houses" will haunt them. Then I will ask them to drink the blood that " drips from the breast of Dracula" " The blood is the life." Kao. Damn cheesy lei.

I have gone bonkers.

Some interesting things I have discovered.

1. The japanese zhen zi is not original at all!!! It probably got it's origins from "Ligeia" written by Poe.( Edgar, not tinky winky's brother)
2. All the xiao char bor of today's world is NOTHING compared to all the xiao char bors of yesterday's world. Any woman you pick, bertha, e crazed person from the yellow wallpaper ( the story, not the song, ok!) haha.
3. Do not read ghost stories before you go to sleep. You will dream of them.
4. How come Gothic got no werewolves one???????
5. SO MANY INTERESTING TEXTS AND HWA CHONG MUST CHOOSE THAT STUPID WADS TT HOTEL DE DREAM WHICH HAS NO INFORMATION ONLINE AND I AM SO NOT ATTRACTED TO IT.

After As, I will read about the bio background of all the writers. It was rumoured that Mary shelley had a crush on william but william rejected her. kao. and byron impregnated mary's sister.

it's ok. I still have 60% of lit undone.
